Mid-Terrace Makeover: Friday 15th November, 12:00-13:30

Birmingham Green Doors showcases energy efficient homes in the ‘able-to-pay’ market, because seeing is believing when it comes to making our homes warmer and greener. These events are for:

  • homeowners with the money and inclination for an energy efficiency renovation;
  • contractors and trades people looking to learn about new technologies and methods;
  • students learning more about sustainable building and retrofit practices;
  • landlords and organisations in the social housing sector.

This November we’re at this mid-terrace house built in 1902 to see first hand how the owners have made it more comfortable, cosy, and carbon-saving with a whole-house, energy efficiency renovation.

You will see and learn about:

  • Internal wall insulation
  • Floor insulation
  • Triple glazing
  • Whole-house mechanical ventilation
  • Smart hot water cylinders
  • Infrared heating panels
  • Internal remodelling
  • Extensions and building maintenance
  • Material recycling and use of materials with a low environmental impact

Spaces are limited, and we only have one tour time slot of 12-13:30 on Friday 15th November, so don’t delay in booking your spot!
